Web Weaving

I like to burn a stick of soothing-scented incense while doing this "ritual. My preferences are Frankincense or Patchou1i. It's also a wonderful way to drift off to sleep, and often sets the 'stage" for a dream vision.
Although this chant is written specifically as a healing and protection chant for all, it can be modified to include specific people, other requests, etc. I weave a similar web when I with to receive prophetic dreams. The first line always stays the same, as does the last two of each stanza, regardless of the "request" of the web.
When you're experienced at doing the web, you can start to spin it and send the thoughtform out without worrying about actually chanting the words. Just simply send out the thoughtform and "see" the Elemental take it with the strands of thread. See It weave some of the web, and then pass it on to the next Elemental and so on, until it is passed to the Sky Father and then to the Earth Mother.., at that point, you are then laying in a ball of silver thread, woven by the Ancients themselves, protected by not only the Mother and Father, but by all the elements as well.
Silver works well for protection, I've found. I've also spun blue and yellow webs for peace of mind and spirit; orange ones for healing of body; green for financial webs; and purple for webs of prophecy. I always tinge the threads with silver, though... for I figure no matter what it is I request, a little rotection within the web never hurts! Visualizing the knots of the web as mirrors makes it a "reflective spell". In this way, whatever is sent at you is returned three-fold to the sender.. be it good or bad.
Prior to beginning the chant, either sit quietly before going to bed, or (preferably) lay in bed with your eyes lightly closed. Imagine holding several strands of silver thread. Each strand reflects a silvery-blue light. As you begin to tie the strands together in small knots, see the knots become mirrors reflecting all negativity back to the sender.
