The Trigrams

Each Trigram represents one of the eight elemental forces of the I Ching, and embodies a quality needed to navigate through life. These eight Trigrams can be thought of as moving in a circle, from age and aggression (with it's highly aggressive triple-yang characteristics) through youth and back to age and passivity, with its triple-yin aspect of total passivity. The trigrams in turn, make up the hexagrams which provide the wisdom and insight contained within the I Ching.
